Ke He, MD

Ke He, MD (何锞)

Deputy Director & Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics · Lead Physician, Products & Devices Guide · Attending Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending

Products & devices · laser aesthetics · anti-ageing plans

Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center, head of its skin and laser aesthetic service, and the lead physician of this site’s products & devices content. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in aesthetic medicine for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.

Her practice spans the products and devices covered on this site: botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and the broader type A family), hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, Teosyal, Stylage and the crosslinked HA class), collagen stimulators (Ellanse PCL, PLLA products such as Sculptra, regenerative fillers), skin boosters (Profhilo, SKINVIVE), pigment and picosecond lasers, IPL, monopolar RF, fractional RF microneedling, and micro-focused ultrasound.

Clinical focus

  • Substance-class matching: botulinum toxin, HA gel with crosslinker, CaHA, PLLA, PCL, collagen implant — choosing the class to the indication
  • Device-class matching: IPL, picosecond laser, monopolar RF, fractional RF microneedle, micro-focused ultrasound — matching device to concern
  • Pigment conditions: freckles, melasma, age spots, nevus of Ota, post-inflammatory pigment
  • Acne and acne scarring; refined treatment of eyelid-margin moles, milia, and syringoma
  • Full-cycle anti-ageing skin management: barrier repair, product sequencing, and device sequencing
  • Vascular conditions and full-cycle hair management

Academic roles & achievements

  • Member, Laser Medicine Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Member, Facial Rejuvenation Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Member, Chongqing Plastic Surgery Quality Control Center
  • Published 5 papers, holds 5 national patents, and introduced 2 new clinical techniques

Class first, brand second

The substance class or device class decides what a product or device can and cannot do. Choosing among brands within a class is mostly about practitioner familiarity, not about universal ranking. Honest guidance starts there.

Shaoliang Wang, MD

Shaoliang Wang, MD (王韶亮)

Director, Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Vice Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medicine

Plastic surgery · surgical support · complex repair

Dr. Shaoliang Wang is Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, and brings more than two decades of tertiary-hospital surgical experience to his practice.

Within the products & devices team he provides the surgical backstop: correction of failed or overdone product or device work where surgery is genuinely needed, complex wound care, scar revision, and the safety net of a tertiary hospital operating theatre behind every product and device plan.

Clinical focus

  • Surgical removal of skin tumors with margin control and layered cosmetic closure
  • Excision and repair of moles, cysts, and other superficial lesions
  • Scar revision and comprehensive scar management after burns and trauma
  • Repair of failed cosmetic operations, including product or device complications that need surgical correction (revision and reconstruction)
  • Complex wound repair and tertiary-hospital surgical support for product and device cases

Academic roles & achievements

  • Member, Craniofacial Surgery Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Deputy Chair, Chongqing Medical Aesthetics & Beauty Committee
  • Standing Committee Member, Chongqing Medical Doctor Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Expert Panel, Chongqing Aesthetic Surgery Quality Control Center
  • Developed a new endoscope- and water-jet-assisted technique for removing injected polyacrylamide (Aomingding) breast filler; awarded the Wang Liangneng Cup Military Excellent Scientific Paper Award
  • Principal investigator on an international cooperation sub-project, a Chongqing Natural Science Foundation grant, and a Third Military Medical University technology-transfer project; published 4 SCI papers and holds 8 national invention patents

A hospital-based advantage

When product or device work from anywhere needs surgical correction, or a complication needs theatre-level care, the operating room, anaesthesiology, and intensive care are already in the same building. Practicing inside a tertiary general hospital means that backstop is real, not theoretical.

Tongchun Mao, MD

Tongchun Mao, MD (毛彤春)

Deputy Director & Head of Aesthetic Surgery · Vice Chief Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending

Aesthetic surgery · refinement · natural results

Dr. Tongchun Mao is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center and head of its aesthetic surgery service at Chongqing West District Hospital. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, he has rooted his clinical practice for more than 20 years and personally performs over 700 operations a year.

Within the products & devices team his role is refinement and judgement: knowing when a product or device plan will not achieve what surgery can, performing detailed feature refinement, and keeping results natural. His aesthetic practice covers detailed facial-feature surgery, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring.

Clinical focus

  • Detailed facial-feature refinement and repair (eyelid, nose, chin, lip)
  • Aesthetic closure principles applied to dermatologic excisions
  • Facial rejuvenation and aesthetic excision of superficial tumours
  • FUE hair transplantation and body contouring

Academic roles & achievements

  • Member, Rhinoplasty and Trunk Tumor Groups, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Member, Chongqing Medical Aesthetics Quality Control Center; Member, Chongqing Medical Accident / Disability Assessment Expert Pools
  • Deputy Chair, Chongqing Shapingba District Medical Aesthetics Committee
  • Published 5 SCI papers, holds 7 national patents, and has participated in 4 research projects
  • Repeatedly named an "Outstanding Young Physician" at Xinqiao Hospital since joining in 2005

Knowing when products and devices are not enough

A product or device plan that promises what only surgery can deliver is a setup for disappointment. Honest guidance includes knowing when to step back and recommend the surgical conversation instead.

Diagnosis first

Most product and device failures in this field trace back to a missed diagnosis, an unsuitable substance or device class for the concern, or an abandoned routine. Getting the diagnosis right, then staying with the maintenance plan, is what quietly produces results.
